After wrapping up the prep work and town network upgrades, we moved out to the desert floor and started building out and operating the event network. Installed all the towers and main links in record time (under 24 hours to load out three towers and ensure 6 critical links were up and aligned). Within 24 hours we had completely wired the three towers, installed their routers and switches, and installed and aligned 6 links (2x 11GHz licensed links and 4x 5GHz unlicensed). All links were 10-12 miles long.
In addition to the main links, we also deployed all of the tower to site gear to link all the sites at Burning Man to the core network. Spent almost 4 weeks in the air every day on a lift, driving all over the desert in heavy dust storms and high winds. At the end of the month we switched to operations mode as the event started.
