More and more, our homes depend on wireless network connections. They support our entertainment devices, computers, sensors, and smart home equipment. For many in rural areas, they also ensure our cell phones continue to work.
Your Internet provider might supply you with a wireless modem, but often times these are weak or poorly managed/placed.
We can build a solid wireless network in your home that will ensure you have the coverage you need in every corner of the house and even outside.
In addition to building the initial network, we can maintain it for you. Most home users are not networking experts and fail to maintain the proper updates on their devices. This leads to potential security compromise or performance issues. We can ensure your wireless network is maintained with the most stable and up to date firmware. We can monitor the radio frequencies being used by your access points and make sure they are the best options given your wireless environment and neighboring networks. We do not monitor your actual traffic.
Our service area for residential service is generally limited to a roughly 50 miles radius of Stewartstown PA (17363). This is typically York, Lancaster, Adams, Cumberland, and Dauphin Counties in PA, and Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Cecil, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Prince Georges Counties in MD. For large estates, we are willing to travel as needed. We have experience with large estates with multiple buildings over hundreds of acres.
We like to start with a review of your house plans. Ideally you have electronic copies of the floor plans. If not, we can sketch out what we need when we do our site visit. We will then interview you to understand your needs. Then we will conduct a walk through to determine the locations and to build out an estimate for the system.

Costs:
We price each project based on the complexity and size of the property. For most residential WiFi designs done with a predictive model, they run between $400 and $800. That is for the design, not the equipment or installation. We typically do not do residential installs but will work with your contractors to ensure it is done right. We can then handle the configuration and tweaking.
For on-going maintenance, we recommend the quarterly package. With this option, we will access your controller once a quarter and update any firmware that has passed testing and is needed. We will check settings and make sure the network is performing as it should. This should run somewhere in the $150-200 per quarter range depending on the number of devices.
For large estates, monthly service might be a better option, especially if there is a tendency to host large gatherings where wireless might be used heavily. We can also be placed “on-call” to support events like that if needed. For some larger events, we can also deploy additional wireless access points on a temporary basis in the yard, barns, etc (weddings, parties, etc).
