Conducted a WiFi site survey at a university in one of their high-rise buildings, in preparation for their new wireless network design project. Eight floors, mostly offices and labs in their engineering college. Walked it, accessing most rooms over two days. Reviewed findings and wrote up a report for the firm that will handle the design and installs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes this design particularly challenging is the layout of the labs. They are dynamic, ever-changing. Open ceilings, lots of HVAC, fume hoods, extra plumbing and electrical, RF from testing gear, X-ray machines, and more.
