In 2022 we started working with a large utility company with over 400 sites around the region. They need to get a handle on what they have and do not have in their facilities as it relates to the their technology. We designed a process by which we could deploy auditors to their sites to inspect and report. This includes things like physical security, environmental conditions in their data rooms, reviewing equipment in the racks and documenting what is present, the age, status. We also do a wireless network design while there. Our deliverables include the wireless design and a full report of our findings. If the site does not have floor plans, we also develop those for them. While there we also look at how they can become compliant with their regulatory needs and present some options for them to review.
This is an on-going effort and will last several years.
After they review the audit and work out a budget and priority, we have the chance to go back to the sites and implement the changes needed to become compliant and stabilize their networks.
